Prachi was born in Mumbai and moved to Singapore in 2011 with her husband and their two school-age daughters.
After a Masters in Business Management in 2002, she worked in banking in Mumbai but took a career break when she had her children.
She graduated from Lasalle College in 2019 with a Masters degree in Creative Writing from the University of London.
Her story ‘Mountains of Fear, Valleys of Hope’ won the first prize at the NJLA Asia-Pacific 2019.
Through her writing she explores the diversity of her country of origin and the uniqueness of her adopted country.
